If you’ve been here before, you may have read how I won second place in the Illinois FBLA Computer Concepts competition and I get to go on to nationals, which are held at Disney World (Florida) this year. I leave very early tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to this – I’ve never been to Florida so this is gonna be a really great trip. (Hopefully the competition goes well too!!!!!)

Well, yesterday was my parents’ 20th wedding aniversary. My dad said this time of year is the worst time to get married because you’re either just getting back from vacation or getting ready to go on vacation. Either way, he said, you don’t have time to really celebrate. Well anyway, they went to Denny’s last night and sent us over to McDonalds. (I don’t really know why they even had us come along, but oh well, we got ice cream so that’s all good!) Well its really great that they’ve followed God closely and haven’t gotten divorced. Twenty years is a long time and so many people get divorced, but I’m glad they haven’t – I’ve heard that divorce is really hard to deal with! 🙁

Well, I should get going and pack or something, but nah I’ll probably sit on the computer for a while longer before doing anything else. I’m too excited to get ready!!!

About an hour ago, I got back from a family vacation to Colorado. One of my mom’s brothers lives in (infamous) Littleton, CO and we went out there to visit them. My mom’s other brother, who lives in Tempe, AZ also went to Colorado so we kinda had a family reunion. Despite the long drive out there, we had a really great time. I’ve only been to Colorado once, but that was when I was a baby so…. The drive there and back wasn’t too bad – especially since I was able to drive. I drove half of the way there and about a third of the way back. While we were in Colorado, we did quite a few different things. We went hiking a few of the days – one of those days, we went to see St. Mary’s Glacier. The weather was really great and it was awesome hiking on snow-capped mountains wearing shorts and t-shirts. We also hiked to a forest fire lookout tower. There we could see all around Pike National Forest (I think that’s the name of it), and we could see Pike’s Peak. We had a lot of time to relax too. We played a lot of games, sat around outside and talked, went to a Colorado Rockies (baseball) game, etc. It was a really great vacation and I hope I can go back soon!

I don’t think I’m going to be posting much on here this summer – I’ve got a lot of plans. I’m going to be away from home for about three weeks this summer – in Florida, Colorado, and here in Illinois at SEMP. I’ve also got a lot of work to do – some web sites to make, CGI scripts to write, etc., and I’ll be putting a lot of my time into that stuff. So, don’t be suprised if you don’t see updates here very often.

Finally, school is all done. I’ve spent the day (after I got home from school) doing a little bit on the computer, relaxing, watching tv, doing a little stuff outside, etc. Well I just wanted to put something on here to let you all know how happy I am to be out of school :)!

Yeah that’s right – one more day of school! I had my math (adv. algebra w/ trig) and my accounting finals today. Both were really easy and I know I did well on them. On Monday, I’ve got my Spanish, English and Chemistry finals and then I’ll be all done! Finally! I’ll actually have free time! Summer’s almost here!!!!! Haha I’m getting a little carried away, but oh well. I need a break from school!
