Busy Week

I’ve got a busy week ahead of me. Sure, it’s already 9th hour on Tuesday, but not having school yestrerday makes this feel like the beginning of th week. For English, I’ve got to write a five page literary analysis on Ernest Gaines’ novel, A Lesson Before Dying. In addition to that *exciting* essay, I’ve got to write an inclass essay first hour on Thursday on the same book. Ahh… Then, tomorrow, I’ve got the American Government First Full Session (we have a simulation for American Government class) and I’m speaking against a bill to support government funding of stem cell research. My concern with the issue is primarily that it is no different from abortion – embryos are killed. If it were “adult stem cell” research, I’d have no problem. Just the fact that embryos – unborn human babies – die in the process concerns me greatly. Once I’ve completed the final draft for my speech, I’ll probably throw it on here.

Well I’ve got a few more minutes before I’ve got to go to Calculus. Have a great day!

Happy Easter

Luke 24:1-12
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? “He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” And they remembered His words, and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. Now they were Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James; also the other women with them were telling these things to the apostles. But these words appeared to them as nonsense, and they would not believe them. But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen wrappings only; and he went away to his home, marveling at what had happened.

Looking for web hosting?

…Definitely DO NOT purchase it from CIHost (or one of their thousands?? of resellers – anything associated with the domain propagation.net … do a whois search on your web host and look for propagation.net in the dns servers before signing with them … – forget it). My friend and I had horrible experience with them not only today, but also in the past week and over the past few months. If you’re looking for quality web hosting, I’d have to recommend the company I’m currently with, ImHosted.com. Their customer support is not only very helpful, but polite, too. They even installed some software on the server because we simply asked them to.

The bottom line -> if you’re looking for affordable, high-quality web hosting, use ImHosted.com!

Art Institute of Chicago

Went on a field trip to the Art Institute of Chicago today for my Spanish 4 class. We’ve been studying art in class so we got to look at some of the art of which we’d seen photos up close and personal. Not only did we miss all but one period of the day, but it wasn’t such a bad trip – art isn’t completely horrible. It was especially cool seeing the art we’d seen before, but with greater detail because it was right in our faces. Sure, some of the art there is perverted and I would prefer to just kinda not get so up close with that, but otherwise it was pretty cool.

Now I’m really tired – sleeping only a little really gets to ya. Maybe I’ll take a nap later today.
