I just got back from church a few minutes ago. I go to a Lutheran church called Trinity Lutheran Church and today was they day they confirmed students. The sermon was really good – the pastor pointed out how confirmation is not a graduation, but just a beginning to the students’ spiritual walk with Christ. He also pointed out the imporantance of sharing the gospel with others and how 98% of all Christians don’t do this. Just as the pastor challenged everyone to share Christ’s love with others, I challenge all you Christians out there to do the same.

Been a while…
Sorry I haven’t posted recently – I haven’t been online lately. I finally went online yesterday, but I didn’t feel like posting anything and I haven’t felt like posting anything today until now.
———
I’m doing pretty well. The weather here in Chicago these past couple of days has been pretty good. Today got a little warm, though.
———
Monday I get out of school for an Accouting field trip – we’re doing some contest thing at a local community college. We’re getting back right before last period (my study period), so Monday is gonna be a cool day!
Hopefully I’ll come up with something more interesting to say tomorrow.
Accident
I just got back from the scene of an accident – some tractor-trailor truck jackknifed on one of the major roads near my house. I was out with my brother and we saw all these police and ambulances, so we followed them and found the accident. I had to pick up my sister from somewhere. Afterwards, we went back to the accident and they had moved the truck, but the traffic was still horrible and two lanes were blocked. We even saw a news helicoptor and my mom heard about the accident on the news – it must have been pretty bad.
This is just another example of something that keeps me from doing my homework (not that I felt like doing it anyway). I didn’t get much I HAD to do for tomorrow, but there are things I should do. Oh well…I’ll get to them sooner or later.
Work, work, work…
Wow the weather has been so nice out lately, but I have all this work I have to do for school. I’ve had such an easy year so far and now I’m getting more work. I don’t know how they expect us to do it with all the awesome weather – I spent an hour playing catch with my little brother today. At least I was able to finish what I absolutely HAD to do today. Maybe it will rain tomorrow and I won’t be able to do anything outside.
I’m Back…
I just got back from the Illinois FBLA State Conference a little while ago. I’m suprised at how well it went. At the IL Northern Area Conference, my test (computer concepts) was quite difficult, but at the state conference, my test was actually pretty easy. I was the first person to finish the it and I knew most of the answers, although there were a few I had to guess on. I ended up getting second place, which means I’m going to the National Conference in June in Orlando, FL. Well, I’m going to go relax and maybe take a nap – we stayed up kinda late last night.
FBLA State Conference
Sorry I can’t type a lot right now – I’m busy getting ready for the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Illinois state conference. I have to be at school at 6:30 am tomorrow and we’re planning on leaving at about 6:45 am. I’m competing in the computer concepts event – at the Northern (Illinois) Area Conference competition, I placed 5th. Hopefully I can do better at state and even go on to nationals! I’ll be back Saturday evening and I’ll probably post a message then or on Sunday letting you all know how I did.
Today (What else would I talk about?)
My day at school was a bit better today – it was cool having that prayer meeting before school! (For those of you who have no clue what I’m talking about, a friend of mine and some of his friends have a prayer meeting before school. They started it a few weeks ago – I think they got the idea because we did it last year. Well, I found out about it yesterday and went.)
Then, this evening I had youth group. I went to the usual one because Sean didn’t have his tonight – he told me that they had some missionary thing at his church. Maybe I’ll go there next week. At least this week my youth group was better – we were talking about Jesus – who he was, stuff like that. Sadly, this message series thing only goes for a few weeks and we get back to the lessons that don’t have a whole lot of stuff from the Bible.
Another boring day in the life of Erich Musick…
Yeah you guessed it. Today was another boring day. School was really boring and Spanish class went just as slowly as yesterday. At least I have 10th hour study period and was able to finish the little homework I got today. Maybe (hopefully, but I doubt it) tomorrow will be more interesting! Tomorrow is Wednesday so I have youth group, but I haven’t decided if I’m gonna go to Sean McTighe’s youth group or mine. I’ll probably end up going to mine, but Sean – mabye I’ll go to yours next week!
Oh well I’m babeling and have nothing good to say. I’ll spare you from any more of this babel by finishing today’s update right now.
Good Book
Hey! I’m trying to get back in the habit of posting something here every day or two. I had a boring day at school today, like always. Spanish was interesting today – my teacher (Sra. Moran) is in Spain with the exchange students so we have a sub. You know how it goes when there’s a sub – everyone kinda does whatever they want. We were reviewing a quiz we took and everyone was talking. Oh well, enough with that.
Every quarter for my English class, we have to pick a book, read it and do journal entries about it. I picked a pretty cool book this quarter – it’s called No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green. I’ve read the first four chapters so far and I’m really enjoying it. If you’re looking for a book to read, check out Amazon.com and buy this cool book.
Spring Break’s Almost Over…
Isn’t it funny how much you look forward to spring break and then it seems like it goes by so fast? You excitedly look forward to it and then, before you know it, it’s over. I didn’t really do anything extremely exciting – I got to rest a lot though. But hey, that’s better than being in school. Would you rather be bored at home, without homework or anything you HAD to do, or be bored while stuck at school all day and then be bored when you go home and do that homework? I’d rather be bored and leave school out of the picture.
Sorry I haven’t posted anything on here lately – I just haven’t had anything to put.
