Several summers while growing up, I helped out at a Neighborhood Bible Club, which is essentially a VBS, but is held at someone’s house as opposed to a church. In 2002, those of us assisting were required to write a response to a question each night so the event would not only be an event in which we’re teaching children, but also one from which we are gleaning something. This section contains my responses to each of the questions.

Awesome in God's Eyes
Summary
The first question was something like "Do you know that you are awesome in God's eyes?"

I believe that I am awesome in God’s eyes, in the sense that He loves me (John 3:16) and I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). On the other hand, we, mere humans, are sinners (Romans 3:23), which isn’t cool or awesome at all. Thankfully, God has cleansed us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9) because of His great love for us (John 3:16). Because of His great power, love, grace and other attributes, only God and His actions can truly be deemed “awesome” – awesome not only in the sense that He is wonderful, but also in the sense that He’s
Helping Children Understand They're Awesome in God's Eyes
Summary
Question: How have you helped children to understand they're awesome in God's eyes this week?

Due to the fact that I was acting 3 out of the 4 days of club this week, I haven’t been able to interact directly with the kids much at all. I think just being around them, though, and helping with the story by acting gives them someone to look up to. If they look back at fun times at Bible club, they will associate fun and good things with the Bible club and hopefully be more receptive to God’s Word. To be honest, I really don’t know how God has used my acting to work
Positions of Authority
Summary
Question: something to the effect of "Has God placed you in a position of authority?"

Many people feel that they don’t have much authority over others. They fail to remember that we don’t have to be anyone extraordinarily important to have an influence over others. We all have an influence on our friends because there’s a reason for those friendships – usually there is respect between the two friends – they want to be our friend because they look up to us. Living out a Christ-like life while around them can have a huge impact on them because it shows Jesus to them in a very powerful way, and it’s coming from
Responding to God's Call
Summary
Question: How has God called you and how have you responded?

As James 2:26 tells us, faith without works is dead – part of living the Christian life is obeying God. God has given us many commands in His Word. Not only are there specific commands for all Christians, but God also promises to give Christians His Holy Spirit to guide us not only through various difficult experiences in our lives, but additionally in following God’s will.
God has commanded that everyone love Him first and foremost, above all things. He is our reason for living; only His Grace can and does save us from Hell. Second in importance
